SISA is on the hunt for a National Coach (Short Track Speed Skating) who will report to the General Manager and be accountable to the EXCO.
The candidate must be a professional who is experienced and knowledgeable in team, pathway and technical development for Short Track Speed Skating so as to provide leadership and direction in athlete development, sport development, high-performance planning, as well as coaching programme design, monitoring and implementation.
The candidate should be able to, in line with SISA and Sport Singapore’s missions and objectives, plan for and implement the development of short track speed skating in:
a) coaching structure to deliver training, pathway and competition plans for the team skaters, with regular reviews
b) a long-term high-performance plan, with an emphasis on youth and pathway development so as to achieve and sustain Singapore’s medal count at the Major Games and Regional and International Championships.
c) technical education/mentorship for the training and development of coaches, with the view to growing the pipeline of athletes
The person must, therefore, possess a recognised technical Coaching Certificate with a good track record of past coaching achievements, and be familiar with sports sciences. A recognised University Degree in a related field of study, as well as the ability to speak and write in English, would be an advantage.
